New look, same KiwiSaaS - plus lots more workshops + resources

TL;DR: KiwiSaaS has a new look as part of Tech New Zealand’s refresh — same community, same purpose, more impact. Plus upcoming workshops, roles hiring and on-demand sessions.

You might’ve noticed we’re showing up a little differently — we’ve got a shiny new brand as part of Tech New Zealand’s ecosystem-wide refresh. It’s a reimagining of our heritage logo that better aligns us with the sector-wide impact we’re all working towards, while still backing our unique identity as the community for Aotearoa’s SaaS founders and teams building globally ambitious software companies.

Our mission hasn’t changed: accelerating the growth of New Zealand’s SaaS sector through connection and capability building. This refresh just sharpens how we show up — and how we contribute to Tech New Zealand’s collective impact across four foundations: growth, people, planet, and good tech. Same community. Same purpose. More impact.

Update: Boule-S**t & Brews in Auckland

We’re cancelling the formal pétanque session at Herne Bay Club (not quite enough players for a proper showdown) but the ‘Brews’ part is still happening. Join us on Thursday 16 April for casual drinks at The Cav (68 College Hill, Freemans Bay) from 6pm for a low-key catch up and a bit of banter. Let us know if you’re coming by replying here.

Going to SaaStr?

SaaStr Annual (12–14 May, San Francisco) is the world’s biggest SaaS + AI conference and Kiwi companies usually make a strong showing.

If you’re heading over (or on the fence), here’s a great way to plug in with the NZ crew: our friends at Hudson Gavin Martin are hosting pre-SaaStr drinks at their offices, 5–7pm on Tuesday 28 April. Want in? RSVP to Edwin Lim.

Kiss my SaaS!

If you’re keen to pressure-test what really drives SaaS growth (and steal a few good ideas from people doing it alongside you), Kiss My SaaS is a peer-to-peer learning workshop built for exactly that.

This is a practical, discussion-led session focused on the key business capabilities needed to grow a SaaS company, with conversations facilitated by an industry veteran. Whether you’re just getting going or gearing up to scale fast, you’ll leave with real-world insights from people in the trenches.

The workshop is split into five streams, so the discussion stays relevant to your role and stage. The CEO streams are sold out, but spaces are still available for Marketing, People and Culture, and Sales. Keen to join? Pick your stream and register — spots are limited. If you run into trouble logging into your company’s MyNZTE account, email Ami Mitchell for help.
