AI is everywhere and most SaaS companies have started in product and engineering. But the bigger, messier challenge is what happens across the rest of the business.
How do you actually land AI in teams like finance, marketing and people in a way that creates real value, not just noise?
This in‑person workshop brings together senior leaders from large New Zealand SaaS companies to step back, compare notes, and explore what AI adoption and operationalisation really looks like across business‑side teams. Rather than theory or polished case studies, the session is grounded in real experiences from companies actively navigating this shift.
We’re bringing together Matt Gerrie, COO at Serko; Nick Steevens, CFO at DataTorque; Mick Clarke, Head of AI Enablement at DataTorque; and JD Trask, CEO and Founder of Autohive and Raygun. Together, they’ll share what they’re seeing inside their organisations: what’s working, where the friction is, and how leaders are approaching AI beyond the technical teams. The session will be facilitated by David Clearwater, Executive Director of KiwiSaaS.
Across the morning, we’ll explore where your organisation sits on AI adoption compared to peers, what business‑side AI adoption looks like in practice, and how to build momentum across teams without it becoming a purely technical project. We’ll also unpack how to lead people through the changes that come with AI‑enabled ways of working, what to prioritise, and how to make meaningful progress within your own systems and culture.
This is an open, practical discussion designed for leaders dealing with real constraints, real teams, and real change.
Who should attend?
COOs, CEOs, and senior leaders responsible for AI‑enabled transformation across business‑side teams. This is an exclusive workshop for large KiwiSaaS members only, open to companies with $5m+ ARR.
