The Story
Parkable was started in NZ by a team frustrated with office car parks sitting half-empty while stressed commuters circled the block looking for parking. The idea was refreshingly obvious: make office parking flexible so the right person can use the right space at the right time, without admin headaches. They obsess over the first five minutes of someone's day because if parking feels calm at 8:55 a.m., everything else gets easier.
The Numbers
Team of 64 across Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Wellington, London & Denver
Serving 500+ workplaces globally including Meta, Revlon, Xero & BNZ
Thousands of daily parkers across public sites and office buildings
Managing everything from Chicago offices to bike parking in London's Cheesegrater building
Plot Twist
They don't just solve parking, they create "parking karma." When you're not coming in, you release your spot so someone else can use it. Small good deed, big team vibe. It's about turning underused spaces into flexible, bookable parking that improves tenant experience and lifts NOI (Net Operating Income).
The Good Stuff
Picture offices with empty parking spots – Parkable lets people book those spots on their phone so the space gets used and everyone has a smoother day. The ripple effect is real: calm parking in the morning means workplaces thrive, landlords have happier tenants, and everyone starts their day better.
Managing an office with underused spaces or trying to make hybrid schedules actually work? These parking philosophers have cracked the code on better mornings.
