Lunit's story began in Wellington with a simple but powerful mission: use technology to save lives. What started as a small team with a big dream is now a global movement, building smart breast screening and cancer risk tools that help detect cancer earlier and make screening personal. They exist for one reason: to save families from cancer – because every early detection is a family kept whole.

Plot Twist

They started with something you can't see or feel: breast density. About half of women have dense breasts, facing 4-6x higher cancer risk. When 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer, turning this invisible risk into smart, safer screening becomes life-saving technology.

The Good Stuff

Before they were saving families from cancer, they were saving goals in their indoor soccer league with team names like "5 Abreast" and "The Breast Side" (yes, they went all in on the puns!). That playful Wellington spirit is still part of who they are, even as they've joined Lunit in 2024 to amplify their global impact.
